This beer is one of Red Rock’s very unique lager biers. A Rauch Bier translates
in German as “smoked beer”. Drying over an open Beechwood fire imparts a smoky character to the malt. Inspired by many trips the brewers have taken to Bamberg, Germany where the Rauch Biers are world famous.

Milk/Sweet Stouts are basically stouts that have a larger amount of residual dextrins and unfermented lactose sugars that give the brew more body and a sweetness that counters the roasted character. Dunkel Weizen is the dark version of the regular golden-yellow Weissbier or Weizenbier (more commonly called Hefeweizen in North America), the spritzy, creamy Bavarian wheat beer with pronounced clove, vanilla, banana, apple, bubblegum, and sometimes nutmeg flavors.
Dunkel means dark in German (as opposed to weiss, which means white) and Weizen means wheat. Like a Hefeweizen, Dunkelweizen is made from a mixed mash of wheat and barley malts, but unlike a Weissbier, it also contains a large array of lightly to thoroughly caramelized or roasted malts that give it both its color and its complexity. A Dunkelweizen, therefore, has all the characteristic and differentiated flavors of a sophisticated wheat ale, overlaid with chocolatey to roasted flavors. Dunkelweizen is a very complex beer style with endless variations on the same theme.

A Düsseldorf specialty, an Altbier is a German style brown ale, the “alt” literally translates to “old” in German, and traditionally Altbiers are conditioned for longer than normal periods of time. Other sources note that “alt” is derived from the Latin word “altus,” which means “high” and refers to the rising yeast. Take your pick, but the extended conditioning mellows out the ales fruitiness and produces an exceptionally smooth and delicate brew. The color ranges from amber to dark brown, medium in carbonation with a great balance between malt and hops.

dandelion greens are a natural toxin-remover, and show up throughout modern history in various tonics and folk remedies. Paardebloem (Flemish for dandelion) has a hazy, deep golden color, a soft-toasted malt character and is 100% bottle conditioned. The grain bill was designed to produce a malty, light bodied beer, emphasizing the flavors of the spices and esters of the Belgian yeast strain.
Paardebloem (Flemish for dandelion) was created in conjunction with Chris McCombs and New Belgium Brewing Company. 9.2% alcohol by volume.

Low carbonation. Alcohol should be low and not perceived. Hop bitterness is moderate to assertive. Most have a fruitiness in the aroma and flavor, diacetyl “butterscotch” can also be present in small amounts.
Red Rock serves this on nitro.

Slight hop bitterness, light copper color. The Steamer is brewed with lager yeast but fermented at ale temperature. This uniquely American brewing style results in a crisp, heavily hopped, but well balanced brew that has an impressive head. In the early days, a cask of this lively beer released a heavy mist when tapped, hence the term “steam”, a bit of history in a glass.
